PT Southeast Asia Pipe Industries (SEAPI) located in Bakauheni, South Lampung, Lampung, Indonesia. Was established in 1996, is a subsidiary of PT Bakrie Pipe Industries (BPI) and owned by PT Bakrie & Brother Tbk. (BNBR) which has started steel pipe business since 1959. PT Southeast Asia Pipe Industries (SEAPI) obtained an API 5L license from American Petroleum Institute for oil and gas industry.

PT Southeast Asia Pipe Industries (SEAPI) is able to produce steel pipes with Longitudinal Submerged Arc Welding (LSAW) method of 24 inch - 48 inch diameter with a capacity of 120,000 MT per year and spiral pipes or known as Helical Submerged Arc Welding (HSAW) of 16 inch - 140 inch diameter with a capacity of 100,000 MT per year.

1999

SEAPI obtains API license for monogram API 5L products

1999

SEAPI started its commercial production on the West Natuna Trunkline System (WNTS) project - PT. Mc Dermott Indonesia with API 5L X70/DNV 485 specification

2001

SEAPI signed a cooperation agreement with Tenaris, one of the world's largest steel pipe producers, which ended in 2003

2002

SEAPI manufactures pipes for acid service in accordance with NACE MR0175, TM0177 & TM0284

2003

SEAPI obtained APIQR Registration with API Specification Q1 and ISO 9001

2007

SEAPI obtained a Statement of Compliance from Det Norkse Veritas (DNV) to manufacture pipes with a diameter of 32 inches and a thickness of 0.562 inches (14.3mm) that meet the requirements of DNV - OS - F101 2007

2008

SEAPI obtained OHSAS 18001 Certificate

2012

SEAPI obtains API license for monogram API 2B product

2024
